My trip to the movie store - a world of possibility
My trip to the movie store
Short story:
Went to rent movie, talked with movie guy, got one movie free.

Movies I rented Hellraiser (The first one) and Opposite of Sex

So I went to rent two movies. I always rent two, well at least two. Once in a blue moon I rent three.

So I couldn't decide what to rent. I wanted to rent Basketball Diaries, it was the first thing that popped into my head, and a horror movie, either Don't Say A Word or Bless the Child.. I'm a horror movie freak, so at least one (if not both) of the movies is always horror.

Anyways, the point being, I couldn't find Basketball Diaries and Don't Say a Word was out. I decided to ask the guy who worked there if they Basketball Diaries. It too was out.

Well, I had no clue what to rent and they were closing soon, so being a logical person, I asked what was good. I said I wanted Horror. He gave option(s) I picked. I then wanted Comedy. He gave a suggestion I went with it.

Some of his suggestions for horror were surprising Dark City and City of Lost Children. Most people haven't heard of em, let alone seen em. Maybe the fact that I worked at a movie store for a while, who knows. He also said Potomac Video on Macarthur had some good horror flicks. I'll hafta check it out.

So, in hopes of me liking them, but just incase I didn't, he gave me one of the rentals free. Yay!

So I got home and watched the two movies.

Hellraiser: Pretty decent, beginning half was a little dragged out, but it was interesting. I wanted more from the "bad guy" characters, I'm not sure what though.

Opposite of Sex: Quite good. Better then I expected.

Not sure if the timing for me to be watching it was great, it was ironic timing, or paradoxical ~either or both work. Lucky me, I just stand outside myself and laugh at it. I mean what else is there to do with irony? It's like getting pissed or angry or violent about things, what is it going to change?

I'll hafta let the guy know the movie picks were good though.

OK, I hope everyone is well.

*smiles big smile*

night :)~

Dark City Rocks. Saw that a while back...it was a good movie. Can even remember the plot though, so I could watch it again and still enjoy it :-) haha

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the movies
