almost there . . . - a world of possibility
almost there . . .
A few days away from my flight - and I think I've got a bit of nervous, or rather excitement, energy :)

I've a few minutes to kill before "dead zone" comes on & I watch it with me mum. Plus I would really like to get something up here before I head onto my flight as I'm not sure how soon I'll get internet access once I'm there.

The last, I guess few months, have been so packed full - will any free time spent packing - I haven't been able to put any photos up! I was hoping to squeeze one in here now, however my connector for I found my connector for directly from camera to USB! YAY!

so, while I'm unable to put up photos from before this trip to MD - I can at least put up A photo (or two).

give me a few minutes and there shall be image(s)

NOTE: the linked pictures are thanks to my friend shell as she was the photographer during our adventure since my main camera was broken and the other battery was dead :/ ) however, this does mean there are actually pictures of me in the mix.

in case you're curious about my time recently, it has included, but not limited to

  • the redwood forest in cali while spending time with my entire direct family (brother included!)

  • an interesting camping trip (well one night) with my folks

  • hiking, lots of hiking (with lots of good people!) including, but not limited to

    • great falls md

    • great falls md

    • california (already mentioned)

    • upstate ny (kingston, woodstock, new paltz)

    • pennsylvania (the magic place)

    • shenandoah (corbin cabin!)

  • saw lots & lots of friends

  • had some going away get togethers

  • and this weekend was my grandfather's 80th birthday, followed by brunch the next day celebrating again and a girl's grad/birthday party this evening.

I think that's enough words for now (I'm anxious to get an image up)

I will end with this: celebrating my grandfather's 80th, preceded a few days earlier by 2 wonderful days upstate AND before that a few days with a friend in shenandoahwas a perfect way to close my time in the states before heading to NZ.

shenandoah and upstate were spent with some really kewl people just enjoying what life has to offer.

pop's 80th showed me how 'wonderful' (explanation eventually I hope) a person my grandfather is and a different way of living life - something just clicked into place and I saw him & how he treats the world differently. It was quite nice.

next time I type it'll be from across the globe :)

I hope all be well :)~

You get a country; they get you. Both the richer. Farewell.

I like "hasta luego" better (until later) - much less final!

look forward to hearing adventures you take (not all adventures have to be like indiana jones)
