I believe the "curse of the bad birthdays" is over. *YAY* snoopy… - a world of possibility — LiveJournal
I believe the "curse of the bad birthdays" is over.

snoopy dance (as one friend of mine loves to do, but I can't for the life of me remember who currently. Maybe it's a multiple person usage phrase).

So last night I had dinner with some friends magpiegees, sassenach, their wonderfully cute and energetic son, their friend linda, who is slowly but surely (yay) showing her weirdness, and their friend Josie (?) who is visiting from Orlando Floreeda :) and who also is quite nice.

It was good company and good food (I was craving breakfast diner food and I got it).

Which, btw !!!! anyone who lives in MD and would like to join me, I WILL be going to an IHOP at some point b/c there is not one here!

Oh, yeah, I will be visiting home (MD home) this weekend. I'll mention this again outside of this cut and e-mail some of you :)

OK, so back to b-day goodness.

That was the day preceding my b-day but the start of the "unbirthday" birthday festivities. From now on I consider it my "unbirth"day b/c it works!

I then made my way home and in the process of making my way to bed (I have a loft bed, so I have to make sure I am %100 sleep ready) get a phone call from a friend. limbic_region. Yay. As much, or little I should say, as he seems to think of himself I feel priveleged to know someone so wonderful. He has always treated me respectfully and called me on my birthday as well as just to say hello - even though I am a bad friend who does not call people very often at all and is often bad about e-mailing on a regular basis. I am incredibly excited for him as well for he is going on an adventure!

OK, so next was dreamland, which was actually quite weird. I even received a phone call from my brother in it as well as some other stuff that I don't remember, but it was just odd. Then again, to most people my "normal" dreams are odd because they aren't usually "real life" situations - just my "odd" ones are. So, who knows.

OK, ok, I'm continuing.

So, our birthday-phobic femme fatalita woke up and headed out to her test of character (aka audition) which was an "open call" and to which she arrived way way too late.

Note: Late for actors = actual time listed for auditioning to begin.

Tis alright though b/c our bp (birthday phobic, not bp the newer gas company) femme did not really feel ready to re-audition after her little flake escapade of last audition with same company.

bp femme then continued on to her next test of character, this time being a more intimate (aka appointment based) choice. Well, it turned out to be more personality based then talent, at least for the time being. So all her girly prepping (aka dress in actual girly clothes and wear hair nicely) was not needed, though it was amusing to see reactions of silly boys who she could tell by expressions their "school-girl" fantasies as she walked by on street because she failed to realize, until walking down the street getting said looks, that she was dressed like school-girl b/c of glasses, backpack, and (to make the outfit) knee-high socks.

Unfortunate silly boys (or maybe fortunate that they only looked and made no attempts to make school-girl fantasy reality) "school girl" was not the same. This bp-femme schoolgirl is the type that easily fights evil characters - like the anime ones with special powers.

OK, so back to b-day.

After these auditions and saying hello to friends in the building - which included hugs and good tidings, our bp femme continued to her weekly phone soundingboard (aka volunteering at crisis hotline). While there she received not, 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, but 5 -repeat 5 b-day calls and messages - since she couldn't very well answer while there). One was on her home phone, actually 2 on her home phone, but 1 was a repeat - even some singing included throughout (

Unfortunately love eh leemelebeth had to give her greeting not in person because she felt not so love eh lee, or as she says "oogly" aka sick. Hopefully she will be feeling better soon so we can make use of her company again in the near future.

bp femme girl continued her day by seeing Xmen2 with the wonderful pamlin which was quite nice, and the movie was good as well.

bp exited (exit ed, since I read that as "excited" ans she definitely didn't "excite" the movie, at least not that she is aware of) said movie to find yet another message on her cell phone.

The "unbirthday" festivities then proceeded to "Ben & Jerries" where the great sweetness of the J & S duo (J = 2nd cousin once removed, or sumfin like dat) were added company.

To top of the night (well company wise) bp femme spent a short time with the J&S duo in their humble abode and with their wonderfully hyper and cute doggy companions :)

The actual end of the night was finishing reading and typing a few emails and reading the many many e-mails or posts or comments from so many good friends (too lazy to type all names).

Silliest thing, it continues into tomorrow b/c a few others have b-days or graduated and stuff that live in NY and we are getting together

Even without and technical "happy b-day" from those who either didn't know or didn't remember (due to my lack of persistence of people knowing b/c, as stated before, until tonight *yay* was a bad b-day streak, and therefore the less attention the better) I know that they care about me because of how they treat me throughout the year and love me as a person even with my quirks and bad habits of having trouble keeping in touch on a regular basis.

So . . .

thank you to each and every person in my life!

Each of you has helped to shape me into the person I am in some way or another, no matter how small.

OK, so in other news!!!!

I am coming home (MD home) this weekend! All those who live in MD and would like to get together please let me know! I know for sure there will definitely be a trip to IHOP at some point this weekend if anyone wants to join in that. PReferably at some odd hour of the night just because it's fun - though I probably won't be able to ingest as much then, but whatever.

I'll send an e-mail as well for those who may not read this.

OK, must go type to my warm fuzzy soul and then this unbirthday femme is going to SLEEP.

I hope everyone is well

Happy Un-Birthday!!!

And *grin* Late night IHOP runs are the best. I used to go a lot with my Mom (no that's not as goobery as it sounds). There's nothing quite like being there at 4 am and having your mom get the whole building of drunken college kids to sing "I"m An Oscar Meyer Weiner" or "Sit On MY Face" with her. God, I love that place at 4am. Everyone is so happy to just get pancakes. The world should be more like IHOP.
