My Moo Coat - a world of possibility
My Moo Coat
Can I tell you how much I love wearing my moo coat? Even if only for the reactions of the people around me.

I love wearing it because it's very me and it makes me smile.

People's reactions are a bonus.

I get everything from smiles, "that's a great coat/sweater" (I don't need to correct them), to other looks that have me laughing to myself.

These looks include
-"What the hell is she wearing"
-"Oh my Gawd"
-"I'm not going to stare, I'm not going to stare"
-"Just ignore the lady she's probably crazy"
-"How could anyone think of wearing that"

I find none of these offensive, but rather amusing.

My favorite is the older generation, like 60+ they usually just look at me and smile a warm "Good day. Thanks for the humor to my day" smile.

I am excited and giddy about my recent new monologue and another one I am going to start working on. I have gotten back into auditioning and am thoroughly enjoying it. Next week I hope to get up the nerve to call a theatre company and set up an audition time.

I am also looking for another part time job since my current one is so incredibly part time. I may have some leads, but am still looking. Any suggestions or ideas. My only dilemna is that it must either be late at night or very flexible (so I can go to auditions when I need to).

I look forward to seeing and spending time with family this weekend.

My cousin (not the one getting married) and I have just recently (within the last year or so) started getting along well again.

Besides my parents, a few cousins and their parents are going to be in town this weekend for one of our cousins wedding.

I am giddy and excited about spending time with them and my"female" time. I will be getting a manicure & pedicure with my mom, aunt and cousin (not the one getting married) and then I will be getting make-up done by a friend.

About 7th grade she (my cousin not getting married) and I began to hang out with different people. She spent time with more "popular" people thanI myself would. We had different hobbies and different outlooks on life.

We would still hang out once in a while throughout highschool, but even when she first started college, our views were just so different it seemed we would spend time together more because we were related and the same age and it was expected than because we wanted to.

Recently though we have grown into more similar views of the world and I find we enjoy each others company. If I felt like going out I would call her because I want to spend time with her not because I feel like going out and want company.

So, anyhow, she will be here this weekend, the first time I will have seen her since I moved to New York. It should be quite enjoyable.

On another note, are any of my friends going to be in town (New York) Thanksgiving weekend? If so and you are willing to do a favor for me (I'll buy you dinner)? E-mail me and let me know.

I hope everyone is well.

Is it the same pretty, redheaded cousin I'm thinking of? If so, tell her I said hi. :)

This is my moo coat.

Eventually I will post a picture with me in it, along with all my other pictures I need to be developed.
