How do you explain to a kid the meaning of knowing nothing for it's true value.

I'm currently trying to explain to my little sister. I hope that maybe she'll understand, or at least have it ingrained somewhere in the back of her mind.

Then one day it will just *click*.

I hope it will help her to understand and accept people, therefore helping her not go through the hell most kids go through in highschool.

I don't know. She is just such a good hearted girl. Most kids are, there's just something that hits them b/twn 6th and 7th grade when they begin worrying about pointless things.

Who their friends are (popularity), what they look like, being fat-thin-acne-brown eyes-blue eyes- everything about them is just "wrong", or so they think, dating. So many pointless things.

If in highscshool, when everyone is so insecure, we just sat back and realized when someone teases us, it's becuase theyfeel insecure. When someone needs attention and popularity and "exclusivity", it's becuase they feel insecure.

So yeah, how do you explain to a 10 year old the true meaning of "All that I know is that I know nothing".

She'll learn what she needs to in whatever time frame she needs to, I've got to trust that.

I hope everyone is well.

I know all the pettiness of high school is awful and we all with that we did not have to go through it or that it didn't happen, but I kind of feel that it is something everyone should and has to go through. A kind of "what ever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" mentality. Biologically it is probably a stage that every person has to go through, sort of the next level of self awareness - "I look like this... and I'm not as pretty as that girl!" Yeah it sucks that everyone at that stage is forced to be together for 7 hours a day, but people should kind of see first hand what that is like, so when they grow out of it they can say, "wow that was bad, and I hope I'm never like that again."

Just my 2 cents.
